Introduction

As some of you may know, the recent lack of interest shown in the youth of this nation has left a number of organizations shrinking or even disappearing up their own jacksy. Our own local scout group is only surviving on the strength of ex-members automatically joining their own kids up but, due no doubt to the totty they have to live with, numbers are falling and don't look like getting any better. Something has to be done, I can't keep nicking kid's PlayStations by meself.

There is a real threat that the scout hut, vandalised last week, will not be in a fit enough state for the bonfire night fundraiser set for next weekend. If we do not get a good showing here, there is a real chance that this pack will have to be put down, and young lads will have nowhere else to go on a Wednesday night.

Those of you who know me, the current youth in the area, and the old packs will know we cannot let this happen. For the sake of this areas past, present and future, I ask you remember your pledge to "do your best" and offer what help and support you can!
